In Asheville, family-run Italian places are busiest on weekend evenings and around holidays, when reservations or call-ahead seating are worth it. BYOB is common at smaller restaurants in some states, with a modest corkage fee or none at all; the listing or a quick call will tell you. Wing-and-pizza shops across North Carolina do most of their business by delivery and price wings by the piece or in fixed counts, with sauce heat adjustable on request. Catering trays, party pizzas and sheet pies need a day's notice at most places, and more around big game days.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 8 am–2 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (828) 283-0813. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, owlbakery.com.

Customers rate it 4.6 out of 5 on Google across 240 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded italian delis & bakeries in Asheville.

Asheville is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Asheville follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I had been wanting to try Owl for a few years. I decided to stop by on my way to work a few times in the last few weeks, I’m pretty picky with coffee and pastries, and I was thoroughly impressed with Owl Bakery. I like that they don’t use burnt coffee beans. I love how they display their baked goods, and the atmosphere is lively and cozy. On one visit, I had an almond croissant and on another I had a morning bun. I thought both were amazing. It really has the feel of a European bakery. I will return, for sure!

I’ve loved Owl (West) for a long time and their traditional baked goods and breads are amazing - they are 5 star. Had one of their cakes for the first time and was a little disappointed. It was good, not great, and quite small especially considering the price, I wouldn’t get one again. Their bakery item prices have also gotten pricey, though worth the price on occasion. People there are always really great.

Owl Bakery is a charming spot with an impressive selection of pastries. Definitely pricey; however, we tried a few itemsβ€”the Danish with orange filling was bright and flavorful, perfectly balancing sweetness with a subtle citrus tang. The traditional croissant was buttery and flaky, with those delicate layers that just melt in your mouth. The walnut strudel was rich and nutty, with a satisfying texture that paired beautifully with a light dusting of powdered sugar. The only downside was the coffee, which fell a bit shortβ€”either the beans or the barista skills could use an upgrade. Still, if pastries are your priority, this place is definitely worth a visit.

Very nice and quite bakery. There is a parking lot, hits in case. I loved lavender latte. They sell bread and pastries. We dined in at around 1 pm and there wasn’t a big choice thought. Unfortunately got my chocolate croissant not warmed up :/ the rest is good. Thank you !

Cardamom buns are the best item to get here! They are soft, fluffy, yet also have a decent denseness. They are a mix between a croissant and a cinnamon roll, and the sweetness is very subtle. If you like bread, this will be your favorite bread item.
